Host Your Next Event at Matt's

Matt's Red Rooster Grill is the perfect venue for private parties to host special occasions, business meetings or corporate events. Whatever the occasion, it is our pleasure to create a culinary celebration for you and your guests to enjoy together. We offer flexible event space options for parties, like our main dining area, second floor dining area and our second floor private dining room.

  • What private space options do you offer during normal business hours?
    PRIVATE DINING ROOM (8-12 guests): During normal business hours, we have a private dining room that can hold up to 12 guests (minimum of 8 quests) on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. or Saturday starting at 4:45, 5:15, 7:45 or 8:30 p.m. for up to 2.5 hours. You also have the option to reserve it for over 2.5 hours with a $250 room fee. LARGER PARTIES: Larger parties would require the upstairs (40 guests) or main floor (30 guests) to be rented out for the entire evening.
  • Do you open outside of normal business hours for private events?
    Yes! We require a minimum of 20 guests and a $425 room fee. We will work with you to create a custom menu that your guests will love. Menus start at $55 per person.
  • Are Saturday afternoons available for special events?
    Absolutely! We offer Saturday afternoons for events up to 3 hours (event will need to conclude no later than 4 p.m. for us to reset and prepare for evening dinner).
  • Are you handicap accessible?
    We are located in a restored and old Victorian home and have built a handicap ramp in the back of the restaurant so that you may enter the restaurant through the kitchen to access the main floor dining room. There is no elevator to the second floor. Additionally, the main floor dining rooms and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. If someone in your party needs to be on the ground floor, please let us know when making your reservation.
  • Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
    Of course! We are happy to accommodate special needs. VEGETARIAN: We feature vegetarian selections on our main menu to offer your guests. In the event you are unaware if your guests require a Vegetarian dish, or the selection you have chosen does not meet their needs, the kitchen will be able to accommodate. FOOD ALLERGIES: We take food allergies very seriously. Please let us know in advance if any of your guests have food allergies. If you are not aware someone has an allergy and lets us know during your event, we can still alter preparations to exclude items a guest is allergic to (seafood, nuts, gluten).
  • How do I book a private event?
    Please fill out our Private Event Inquiry Form below. We will then respond and schedule a time to discuss availability, menu options, and additional party information. Once all of the details are sorted, we will send you a contract to sign and send back to us along with a required deposit to confirm your event. One week before the event we will contact you to finalize the numbers for the event.
  • Can I order a special cake?
    Sure! We work with approved vendors who can make a custom cake for your party, or you may bring in your own and a cake cutting fee of $2.75 per person will apply.
  • Is there a cancellation charge?
    If the event is canceled more than 30 days before the event, the deposit is refundable, minus a $150 fee. If the event is canceled between 7-30 days of the event, the deposit is not refundable.

  • What type of food do you serve?
    We serve Contemporary American cuisine with a focus on fresh seasonal food and our wood-fired grill.
  • Are reservations required?
    Reservations are not required but are highly recommended as we do not have a bar or waiting area. Click here to make a reservation.
  • Do you have a dress code?
    Dress is nice casual.
  • What is the largest size reservation you can accommodate?
    We allow up to 12 people per reservation during normal business hours in our private dining room located on the second floor.
  • Do you have a bar/liquor license?
    Matt’s is BYOB, so you are welcome to bring your own beer and wine. We also have Unionville Vineyard wine available for sale by the bottle.
  • Do you have parking?
    Our parking lot is conveniently located just next to the restaurant.
  • Are children allowed in the restaurant?
    Children are welcome to dine with us. However, we kindly ask that you consider the intimacy of our restaurant as well as the fact that many of our guests come to celebrate intimate events and milestones.
  • Do you have children's menu?
    We do not offer a children’s menu (only our main seasonal menu).
